One of the best parts of my job is helping couples plan and dress for their western themed wedding. Some just want a pair of boots for the bride or groom, while some have purchased just about everything here: hats, shirts, boots, buckles and ties for the guys; and dresses and boots for the girls. The key is to plan ahead, because sometimes a particular boot, especially in multiple sizes, can take some time to arrive (if we’re out of stock). It’s best to order a few months in advance.

By far the most popular boot for brides is the Macie Bean “I Never Promised You a Rose Garden” by Anderson Bean. (see below)

This past summer I had the chance to plan my own Cowgirl Wedding. We went very casual, with a small outdoor ceremony, but it was very important for me to have my own personality show through in our pictures.  My neighbor (and former Head West Outfitters employee) Lisa Jennings did an absolutely fabulous job as our photographer — none of us would have looked as good without our boots and dresses from Head West Outfitters and the talented hair artistry of Head West Hair Saloon!

We’d love to see your western wedding pictures too! Submit them to and we may feature them in a future blog post. Also make sure you check out our Western Weddings board on Pinterest for more great ideas you can use in planning your special day!
